Business growth doesn’t happen by accident

Business Reset Retreat

The 3 AM Question

Sarah sat at her kitchen table at 3 AM, scrolling through her business bank account. Summer had been incredible—eight weddings booked, clients raving, calendar completely full. But now it was February, and she’d had exactly one inquiry in six weeks. Her husband was asleep upstairs, her kids would be up for school in four hours, and she was doing mental math that made her stomach turn. This wasn’t how it was supposed to be when she left her corporate job six years ago to pursue photography.

She’d tried everything: boosted Facebook posts, Google Ads that burned through $300 without a single booking, posting religiously on Instagram to followers who loved her work but never actually hired her. The worst part? She knew she was talented—her clients told her constantly. But being great at your craft and being great at marketing it are two completely different skills. And nobody teaches you the second one.

Sound familiar?

WHAT OUR CLIENTS SAY

“When I booked this retreat I felt like I had exhausted everything I knew to do to make my business work but I just wasn’t making ends meet.  As a last ditch effort, I booked this retreat thinking it would give me clarity that it was time to close this business chapter. To my surprise, I gained a new found fire to hustle harder, and spend my time where it made the most impact which completely transformed my business.  I’m so thankful for this retreat!”

Things to Consider

I hear this all the time, and here’s what I’ve learned: the businesses struggling most are usually the ones where the owner can’t step away. That’s not a badge of honor—it’s a warning sign. This week isn’t about abandoning your business; it’s about fixing the systems so you’re not constantly scrambling for the next client. Most attendees tell me they get more done in this one focused week than in six months of “figuring it out” between client appointments. Plus, we schedule these during typical slow seasons for Maine businesses—you’re picking the right time to rebuild.

Those courses gave you tactics without strategy, right? “Post three times a week on Instagram” or “run Google Ads” without understanding why people aren’t choosing you in the first place. This isn’t a course—it’s a complete business reset. We start by figuring out what’s actually broken (usually it’s your messaging, positioning, or how you qualify leads), then build a custom plan for your specific business and market. You’ll leave with your actual marketing calendar, your actual website changes, your actual follow-up system—not generic homework.

None. In fact, if you’ve been in business 4+ years and you’re still frustrated with your marketing results, you’re exactly who this is for. I’m not here to teach you to become a marketing expert—I’m here to help you understand what’s working, what’s not, and what to do about it. We’ll talk in plain English, not marketing jargon. If you can run your business, you can understand this.

Everything except your travel to Maine: full week of intensive strategy sessions, all meals, accommodations, workbooks and materials, one-on-one time with me to review your specific business, 90 days of follow-up support after the retreat, and access to our private community of past attendees. You’ll also leave with your completed marketing roadmap, website audit and recommendations, and templated systems you can implement immediately.

Absolutely not. I’m not selling you additional courses, upsells, or monthly masterminds. This is the complete package. The only thing I might suggest afterward is occasional check-ins if you want continued support, but that’s entirely optional. My goal is for you to leave completely equipped to run your own marketing—not dependent on me.

Perfect—neither are most of my clients. We’re not building complicated funnels or learning to code. If you can send an email and update your website (even on Squarespace or Wix), you have all the technical skills you need. Everything we implement will be simple enough that you can manage it yourself or hand it off to a part-timer if needed.

That’s actually one of the biggest reasons people come. You can’t just raise your prices and hope people pay—you need to position yourself differently first. We’ll work on how you talk about your services, how you attract clients who value quality over price, and how to confidently communicate your worth. Several past attendees have raised their rates 30-50% within six months of the retreat.

Maximum 12 business owners. Small enough that you get real attention and we can dig into your specific situation, large enough that you benefit from different perspectives and don’t feel like you’re on the hot seat all week. I’ve found this size creates the best balance of personalized guidance and collaborative problem-solving.

We run retreats during Maine’s slower business seasons—typically late winter (February/March) and late fall (November). If you’re reading this and thinking “I should wait until things are less crazy,” that feeling never goes away. The best time is usually when you’re frustrated enough to know something needs to change but not so overwhelmed that you can’t step back and think strategically.

The 90-day follow-up support is specifically for this. You’ll have access to me for questions, troubleshooting, and guidance as you implement everything. Most people find that’s plenty, but if you want ongoing support after that, we can talk about what makes sense. No pressure, no obligations.
